Day Unit Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Urology Day Unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, lead a team of healthcare professionals, and ensure that patients receive exceptional care in a safe and efficient environment.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, including supervising staff, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining accurate records. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and staying up-to-date with best practices in urology nursing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urology nursing, with a minimum of five years' experience in this field. They will possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Urology Day Unit, including supervising staff, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in urology nursing and implement these into daily practice.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and other support staff.
- NMBI Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
- Preferably hold a postgraduate qualification in urology or management.
- Minimum of five years' experience in urology nursing, with at least three years' experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
