Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Cloud Databases and Storage organization. This team builds and runs a petabyte-scale core data platform that powers large-scale database, storage, caching, and media infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience in architecting, designing, and developing large-scale distributed systems, with strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
You will be responsible for scaling eBay's core data infrastructure by working closely with other engineers, customers, business partners, and product managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage massively scalable database and storage systems for eBay.
- Collaborate with highly skilled peers to design data infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, storage, and large-scale database systems.
- Work in an agile environment focusing on problem-solving and engineering precision.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 8+ years of experience or MS with 6+ years in building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience in architecting, designing, and developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems, storage, and databases.
