Investment Operations Specialist

The role of Investment Operations Specialist plays a pivotal part in the overall success of our investment operations. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-quality support and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include overseeing Blackrock DSS team IBOR reconciliations output, monitoring cash and asset exceptions, and preparing and delivering regular reports to maintain adherence to established control frameworks. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the PMF workflow tool, ensuring timely action on requests, and supporting established control frameworks.

Furthermore, this role involves overseeing externally managed portfolios, including annual reviews of investment performance and operational performance. Recommendations will be made to the investment committee regarding portfolio manager retention or new manager procurement.

As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will also manage the delivery of investment committee objectives on behalf of the General Insurance International CIO team. This includes reaffirming IPGs, Charters, and annual self-assessments. Project initiatives will be managed and delivered as requested by the General Insurance CIO team, encompassing Aladdin implementation and third-party outsourcing.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience working in investments or asset management. Strong knowledge of investments and business is essential, along with an understanding of front and back office processes within an investments business. Proven ability to develop relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and partner on key business initiatives is required.
