About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our CAMHS team, providing mental health assessments and speech therapy services to children and young people experiencing significant mental health difficulties or illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mental Health Assessments: Conduct routine mental health assessments and speech therapy sessions alongside health and social care professionals
  • Assessment Communication: Communicate intake assessments to CAMHS teams and document findings
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with young people, parents/carers, team members, and other agencies in treatment planning
  • Clinical Governance: Foster close working relationships with CAMHS colleagues and agencies to maximize young people's outcomes and seek advice and assistance as needed

Requirements:

  • CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist
  • Minimum three years post-qualification clinical experience for senior grade
  • Strong clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills, and evidence-based practice
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
