Job Title: Deputy Social Care Manager – Children's Residential Services

Job Description

This is a key role within the organization responsible for overseeing the provision of social care services to children and young people. As a Deputy Social Care Manager, you will be working closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of social care staff providing support to children and young people in residential settings.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for service users.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in social work or a related field.
  • Significant experience of working in a social care setting, preferably in a management capacity.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and external partners.
  • A deep understanding of child development theory and the principles of child-centered practice.
