Scientific Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated team. As a key member, you will be responsible for carrying out Chemistry and Microbiology analyses relevant to milk quality control and quality assurance.

• Raw Milk analysis including:
  • Antibiotic/Inhibitor analysis;
  • Microbiological methods including Testing of well water;
  • Rapid Microbiology Tests: Bactoscan, Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA), PCR;
  • Completion of all documentation and maintenance of records;
• Implementation and participation in internal and external proficiency tests;
• Equipment cleaning, maintenance and calibration;
• Day-to-day maintenance of laboratory hygiene standards;
• Timely escalation of non-conformances or potential non-conformances including participation in laboratory investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• A degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or equivalent quality-related field;
• Knowledge of the Agri/Dairy sector;
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Flexibility and adaptability with good organisational abilities.
