We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and presentation of external areas, supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all outdoor spaces.

This role involves coordinating with the grounds team to ensure an impeccable first impression for our guests. Duties include regular emptying of rubbish bins, cleaning of rubbish bins, and efficient rotation of bins. Additionally, the operative will utilize the cardboard compactor, maintain sustainable practices, and monitor and maintain smoking areas to ensure compliance and safety.

  • Assists in performing a preventive maintenance programme
  • Maintains the equipment and tools in good order.
  • Submits reports to the Manager on conditions of building and the equipment
  • Maintains a high standard of work in performing duties and responsibilities
  • Is aware of and follows company procedures and policies and cooperates in maintaining them
  • Monitor the aesthetics and ensures upkeep and immaculate appearance of the hotel
  • Basic IT skills
  • Safe Pass ideally (training provided if required)
  • Fire Awareness Training (training provided if required)
  • Fluent English
