As a key member of the naval team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical onboard systems.

This role involves overseeing the operation of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary machinery to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of our vessels.

Key Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
  • Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
  • Age: 18–39 years on the date of application
  • Qualifications: HETAC Level 7 in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, QQI Advanced Certificate Craft in Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting, Diesel Fitting, Motor Mechanics, Department of Marine & Natural Resources Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) Certificate of Competency

Recruitment Process: Includes a fitness test, competency-based interview, medical exam, and Garda vetting. All assessments conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork.
