Overview

To coordinate the successful implementation of MedLIS across Cavan General Hospital. This role requires a system administrator with management skills to oversee the intense implementation process over a six month period and beyond.

MedLIS is an electronic system designed to manage laboratory tests, allowing healthcare providers to easily book tests and access test results faster. The introduction of MedLIS aims to improve quality of care and patient safety.

The MedLIS programme is currently in its implementation phase, creating an integrated nationwide laboratory information system that will enhance the delivery of diagnostic laboratory medicine.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must possess:

  1. At least two years' satisfactory experience at a grade not lower than Grade V or equivalent.
  2. A high standard of suitability for proper office discharge.

Post Specific Requirements

Experience in project management is essential.

Desirable

Knowledge/experience of Lab/Healthcare IT Infrastructure is highly desirable.
