Job Title: Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced mental health professional to provide high-quality psychological services in a forensic setting. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultancy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality and behaviour disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, self-harm and suicidal behaviour, eating disorders, psychosis, and schizophrenia.
- Work with individuals who have committed serious offences and require formal offence-related risk assessments, preparation of parole board reports, and offence-related group and individual work.
- Provide consultation, education, guidance, and support to multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Contribute to research projects and development of evidence-based practices.
- Eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by PSI.
- Experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and/or offence-related difficulties with a forensic population is desirable but not essential.
This is a locum position and the successful candidate will be required to work on a short-term basis.
