Job Title: Hardware Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Specialist to join our team in Enniscorthy, Wexford Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and a desire to build a long-term career in the dynamic IT industry.

This role involves conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair work on IT hardware such as laptops, printers, PCs, servers, etc., as necessary within the workshop. You will also assist in maintaining control of workshop stock and equipment, as well as parts required for field service calls.

The role requires installation of print & personal computing hardware, including setting up and staging hardware for new hardware deployments and refresh projects. Additionally, you will provide end-user technical support through helpdesk services and field-based assistance, focusing on print technologies at customer locations as part of the Managed Print Solution.

Your responsibilities will also include preventative maintenance service calls, where you will conduct proactive customer site visits to perform regular maintenance on devices, including replacing cyclical long-life consumables and conducting routine diagnostic checks.

Requirements:
  • A full driving licence is essential (Manual car)
  • You must hold a relevant IT degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a similar support role is desirable.
  • Previous experience with Print Fleet Management & Managed Print Services software such as SafeCom, Jet Advice or similar is highly desirable.
  • You should have knowledge and experience working with Office 365 - Firewalls / Switch knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Windows operation systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
