Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic Job Posting

Pentastar Aviation seeks a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic to support daily maintenance operations. This is a key role within the organization, requiring strong technical expertise and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and work closely with FAA regulations, manufacturers, pilots, and other technicians.
  • The primary goal is to ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards by applicable regulations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Key duties include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing business transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • The ideal candidate must maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in their work.
  • Defective components will be adjusted, repaired, or replaced based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and technical documents.
  • Precision instruments and equipment will be used to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A current valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions is mandatory. Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft is an asset.
  • Candidates should possess 3-10 years of experience, including experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station and Part 135 experience.
  • Inspection Authorization and/or FCC License is considered an advantage.
  • The ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications is essential to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • The ideal candidate can work with minimal supervision to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframe and engine(s), including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
  • Versatility and flexibility are crucial due to varying schedules, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence are expected.
