Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a psychology service as part of our dedicated and innovative team within a Residential Service.

You will work collaboratively with care teams to ensure integrated service provision, using evidence-based psychological interventions to support young people.

Your role will involve providing professional reports, consultation, education, guidance, and support to others as required.


Main Responsibilities:

Deliver a young person-centred professional psychology service, exercising professional responsibility for treatment and discharge.

Provide psychological assessments, exercise professional responsibility for treatment and discharge of young persons, and communicate effectively with care team members.

Initiate and participate in inter-agency work practices and service delivery as required, contribute to needs assessment and health promotion initiatives.


Requirements:

Hold a university honours degree in Psychology, obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours, and have an Irish post-graduate professional Psychology qualification.

Demonstrate experience in appropriate healthcare settings, working with children and adolescents with complex needs.

Possess a full clean driver's licence, as this role involves travel between services.
