Delicatessen Assistant Job

Main Purpose:

We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Delicatessen Assistant. The primary responsibility of this role will be to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products, ensuring customer satisfaction is the top priority.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food, and slice meats using store portion control measures.
  • Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day.
  • Maintain counter displays across all fresh food departments to the highest standards at all times.
  • Share knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers to demonstrate passion for quality food.
  • Handle customer queries efficiently, professionally, and in line with store policy.

Requirements:

  • HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
  • Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
  • The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
