Clinical Nurse Manager Job in Galway

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and qualified nurse who possesses strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional and clinical leadership within the unit, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to staff, promote a positive work culture, and maintain high standards of care.
  • Operational Management: Assist the Nurse Manager in unit management, deputize in her absence, and take charge of the unit as needed.
  • Quality Care: Deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor resident well-being, and contribute to quality improvements.
  • Policies and Procedures: Adhere to policies, standards, legislation, and codes of practice, and contribute to the development of unit policies.
  • Training and Education: Organize continuing education, guide, and assess staff performance, and lead orientation for new staff.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a post-registration management qualification in health or a related field, have at least 3 years of management experience in care of the older person, and demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
