About the Role:

The EirGrid Group is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Revenue Analyst to join its Group Regulation Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic approaches to regulatory matters that align with the company's ambitions.

Key responsibilities include assisting the Economic Regulation Manager in coordinating price controls and revenue submissions, providing regulatory financial input, preparing submissions to the Economic Regulator, and supporting the wider finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the successful completion of business priorities and shape the regulatory strategy to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and compilation of price controls and other required revenue submissions.
  • Provide regulatory financial and economic input to price controls for the business.
  • Prepare and deliver submissions to the Economic Regulator.
  • Support the wider finance team for the roll-out and tracking of regulatory allowances across the EirGrid Group.
  • Carry out research on regulatory approaches elsewhere and their applicability to the EirGrid group of businesses.
  • Act as a point of contact for financial models and modelling by reference to EirGrid's regulated businesses.
  • Contribute to shaping the regulatory strategy to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Support internal and external stakeholder relationships, such as business functions and Regulatory Authorities.
  • Engage with external economic consultants to support delivery of price control and allied processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree or other recognised qualification in business, economics, finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgments based on available information.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear, and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with experience in data analysis.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, e.g., to express key economic concerns or new ideas clearly.
  • Knowledge of regulation/regulatory economics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrated flexible working approach with ability to lead and prioritise a wide range of demands and activities while maintaining a professional and positive focus.
  • Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others.
