About the Role: As a Senior Analyst at S&P Global, you will play a crucial role in providing credit ratings of structured products that are backed by pools of assets. You will be part of the Structured Credit team within the Structured Finance sector and work closely with several highly experienced industry specialists.

The Team: Our team is comprised of 20 analysts based out of London, Paris, and Frankfurt offices. You will report to the Analytical Manager, Structured Finance and be responsible for helping the undertaking of the analysis for the Structured Credit team.

The Impact: The successful applicant will enhance our ability to effectively serve our clients by demonstrating outstanding analytical excellence and the capacity to provide relevant, insightful, and compelling analysis. You will have responsibility for assessing the credit profile of collateral pools, working with financial and cash flow models to stress test the structures and enhancement levels under various economic scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary analytical contact for bankers, issuers, and investors to resolve any analytical inquiries that may arise during the rating process.
  • You'll have ownership of a portfolio of predominantly CLO credits.
  • Review documents, consider the legal dimensions of transaction structures, develop an understanding of and apply relevant rating criteria.
  • Assess the credit profile of collateral pools, work with financial and cash flow models to stress test the structures and enhancement levels under various economic scenarios.
  • Independently prepare and present analysis and recommendations to credit committees.
  • Act as a proactive member in ratings committees and in the team.
  • Work closely with analysts to provide research and analysis for the Structured Finance team.
  • Review and run cash flow models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related subject/Pursuing post-graduate studies/CFA.
  • A S&P employee at this level typically has 3-6 years' experience in Securitization and/or CLO or credit analysis or related analytical fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable analytical work experience in the financial services industry and good numerical skills, with an ability to synthesize and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Comfortable with quantitative analysis and have a knack for problem-solving.
  • Solid analytical capability, team player, and good time management skills.
