A leading Developer/Builder is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for the Cork Region. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health and Safety professional to join a top company with a strong pipeline of projects.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Conducting safety inspections and producing risk assessments;
  • Regularly reviewing and updating Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statement;
  • Completing Safety Induction Training for all new staff on site and maintaining documentary evidence of same;
  • Investigating, recording, and reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses promptly;
  • Providing relevant accident information for insurance purposes;
  • Identifying new and ongoing safety-related training requirements;
  • Ensuring correct PPE is availed of at all times by all relevant employees;
  • Reviewing sub-contractors' Safety Statements and Safety Compliance;
  • Attending regular Health & Safety meetings.

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in Health & Safety;
  • 6+ years experience ideally Flexible to travel across several sites in Cork area Experience with a main contractor preferable.
