We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at St. Vincent's University Hospital. As a key member of the Neurology Inpatient Service, you will be responsible for maintaining professional standards of practice and leading the development of occupational therapy services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programmes in line with service standards.
- Ensure high-quality documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional and local service standards.
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, frontline managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to service planning and development alongside the Occupational Therapist Manager, anticipating the evolving needs of the Neurology Inpatient Service and its users.
- Provide leadership and support for the professional development of occupational therapy staff and students.
Key Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Registered with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a neurological specialty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
