Job Summary:

The Lead / Senior Health & Safety Advisor will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our company's EHS Management System. This involves developing site-specific EHS Plans and Emergency Response Plans, providing expert advice to relevant personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of the Company's EHS Management System
  • Developing, updating site-specific EHS Plans and Emergency Response Plans
  • Provide EHS advice and direction to relevant personnel on-site as required
  • Collecting and collating relevant information for handover to the Client at the end of the project
  • Attend daily activity briefings and whiteboard meetings
  • Tracking and compiling of weekly KPIs and issue to SMT
  • Chair internal EHS meetings and representation at client EHS meetings
  • Reviewing the SWPs (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site
  • Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules
  • Assist with carrying out accident, incident investigations and root cause analysis studies
  • Continue to develop the company's Behavioural Safety Program and organise safety promotion reward schemes and initiatives
  • Supervise and manage EHS documentation to support the Company's integrated safety management system
  • Delivering Health & Safety orientation programs for personnel working on site
  • Prepare and deliver training courses, including training assessments

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised third-level qualification or Diploma in Health & Safety
  • Fluent in English
  • At least four years' health and safety experience gained in construction sector, preferably electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork and presentation skills
