Senior IT Security Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Security Engineer to lead security-related projects and initiatives. This dynamic role ensures the protection of data and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and implement security systems and tools, including SIEM architectures and penetration testing techniques.
- Participate in and lead security incident response planning, training, and investigations, ensuring timely communication of findings and effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for improvement of configuration and management of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security devices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and maintenance of systems, software, and networks, and conduct regular security awareness training and promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of networking and/or software development, as well as general IT principles.
- 5-8 years of experience in IT Security or similar, with experience in SIEM tools and architecture, penetration testing or security assessment, encryption tools and techniques, and Security Operations Center experience.
- Leading small teams, leading small to midsized projects, and presenting to midsized and large audiences are preferred skills and qualifications.
