Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Coordinator to join our team at Bon Secours Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleaning of the main kitchen as per the main kitchen schedule and HACCP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fully adhere to HACCP systems and follow all cleaning specifications for the main kitchen.
  • Cooperate with the Environmental Health Officer during their visits to the Catering department.
  • Monitor temperature control, record fridge and hot/cold food temperatures, and inform the Head Chef/Supervisor of any incorrect readings.
  • Assist chefs when required and order weekly stock from Stores according to Hospital policy.
Physical Skills and Demands:
  • Loading and moving food/stock on tables, counters, shelves, and to/from delivery trolleys.
  • Decanting food items into freezers and fridges, dry goods into the dry good storeroom.
  • Moving food trolleys and manual washing of pots/pans from the main kitchen.
  • Lifting stocks/supplies.
