The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist II to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. As a key member of our Central Laboratory, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the processing, analysis, and reporting of clinical trial patient samples.

In this role, you will operate laboratory equipment carefully and according to procedures, maintain laboratory automation equipment per established operating procedures, and perform necessary equipment checks, performance testing, preventive maintenance, and quality control on equipment per laboratory guidelines.

You will also be responsible for assuring equipment and instruments meet performance standards, maintaining QC related documents, and adhering to the laboratory's Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, you will participate in the Proficiency Testing Program as assigned and complete the performance of proficiency testing in assigned laboratory sections.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, with 3+ years experience working in a Hematology laboratory. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good laboratory and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and efficiently, are essential. Ability to multitask, along with an orientation toward teamwork and leadership, and strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills are also required.
