Job Description
Cpl Healthcare is pleased to partner with Tusla Child and Family Agency to recruit Special Care Workers for their special care services. These vacancies exist in their units for children in care, providing a short-term intervention that prioritises safe care in a secure environment. As a Special Care Worker, you will participate in developing and implementing Care and Placement Plans, promoting the rights and welfare of each young person.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans.
  • Promote the physical, emotional, social, and educational welfare of each young person.

Requirements:

Minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or a related qualification.

Or hold one of the following along with 18 months practice in the previous five years:

  • Youth and Community Work Qualification.
  • BA (Hons) Youth and Community Development.
  • BA (Hons) Psychology.
  • Addiction Studies (Level 7).
  • BA (Hons) Counselling and Addiction Studies.
  • Disability Diploma (Primary Care).
  • Degree in Social Science (minimum Level 7).
  • Social Care Qualification (Level 6).

Tusla has delegated authority to recruit up to point 5 of the salary scale, considering prior relevant study and/or experience.
