The General Assistant role at our care home is a blended position that combines working with the Housekeeping and Kitchen team to assist with day-to-day operations.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, housekeeping, and laundry functions, guaranteeing residents receive high-quality meals and have a clean environment.

The successful candidate will support the provision of high-quality, person-centred surroundings, contributing to the wellbeing of our residents through their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure expected standards are achieved throughout the home
  • Cover domestic, kitchen, and laundry duties, receiving training in all areas
  • Identify and report any damage, faults, or issues to maintenance or management
  • Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
  • Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations
  • Undertake any other duties as designated by the Home Manager
