Senior Leadership Role in Elderly Care

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Director of Nursing Services for Older Adults in Portlaoise. This key leadership role will involve overseeing the provision of high-quality care and services to residents.

About the Role:

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the nursing home.
  • Oversee the implementation of care practices and procedures that meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with marketing teams to promote the home's services and reputation.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures to protect residents and staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment through regular maintenance and hygiene practices.
  • Recruit, select, and develop staff to meet the needs of the home.
  • Analyze training needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Evaluate clinical practice to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • A qualified nurse with at least 5 years of management experience in elderly care.
  • A post-registration management qualification in healthcare or a related field.
  • A proven track record of clinical management in elderly care.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Sound decision-making ability and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive team culture.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
