We are seeking a General Manager to lead our team and continue building on our success in the vibrant atmosphere of one of Galway's most iconic bars.


Responsibilities Summary
  • Oversee all bar and restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service, high standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and manage a large, fast-paced team and be a visible presence on the floor.
  • Drive revenue and profitability through strong financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture through training, development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive promotional events and seasonal campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and stock control.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends and performance metrics.

Qualifications Required
  • 4+ years' experience in a similar senior hospitality management role, ideally in a high-volume bar or gastropub.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, particularly in Irish bar culture.
  • Financially savvy with experience in budget control, stock management, and P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with systems, scheduling software, and other hospitality tools.
  • A passion for whiskey, live music, and Irish hospitality.
  • Knowledge of Galway's tourism and nightlife scene.
