Cloud-Based Software Developer

Our organization seeks an accomplished software developer to join our On Demand team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be part of a highly agile development team, using the latest technologies and coding environments, focused on cloud-based products.

The role involves designing and building commercial products that operate across multiple Microsoft platforms & Services including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, CosmosDB, and Event Hub. You will focus on backend development with some UI/frontend work.

As a member of our agile development team, you will be driven to produce high-quality code that meets business requirements. You will also take ownership of design activities for components and lead their success.

• You will be part of a Research & Development team building a platform-based serverless cloud-native SaaS solutions using the latest technologies in the Microsoft Azure platform.
• You will design and build commercial products that operate across multiple Microsoft platforms & Services including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, CosmosDB, and Event Hub.
• You will focus on backend development with some UI/frontend work.
• You will be a member of an agile development team and be driven to produce high-quality code that meets business requirements.
• You will take ownership of design activities for components and lead their success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in software development.
• Experience in full-stack development – C#/.NET Core (strongly preferred).
• Experience in building Azure cloud applications using microservice architecture.
• Developed and maintained Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration pipelines for build and deployment of services and components using Azure DevOps (preferred), Jenkins, or similar systems.
• Experience in writing quality code with techniques such as unit testing, mocking, automation, and integration testing.
• A good understanding of modern software practices including design patterns, SOLID principles, coding standards, and agile software development practices.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Solid understanding of building scalable web applications using WebAPI and RESTful API design.
• Experience in YAML pipelines, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
• Ability to produce and document designs and specifications for new features and services.
• Experience in Angular or React, Typescript considered beneficial.
