The Materials Management Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and executing day-to-day operations to ensure manufacturing materials are available as requested. This includes processing daily purchase orders, managing inventory using onsite inventory management systems, and working with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.

The role aims to consistently achieve high standards of cost and quality compliance while maintaining excellent customer service. Additionally, the role will focus on sustainability, business strategy, gross margin improvement, and lean principles to drive overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business in an ethically sound manner that protects human health, safety, and the environment by complying with all applicable laws and company standards.
  • Process daily purchase orders from receipt to delivery stage through the SAP system.
  • Manage inventory levels and stockroom organization to meet production requirements.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze and measure supplier performance in line with Key Supplier Metrics (e.g., Supplier On-Time In Full).
  • Implement sustainable sourcing practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Apply lean supply chain principles to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Ensure raw material continuity of supply throughout the supply chain.
  • Provide visibility to weekly and monthly material availability issues.
  • Operate all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to update them on usage and potential problems.
