As a highly skilled accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a well-established firm in Kerry. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and review financial statements for various clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely year-end financial statements for our clients.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax compliance for our clients, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Client Liaison: Provide excellent client service by liaising directly with clients to address their queries and provide advice.
  • Team Management: Oversee the bookkeeping and payroll work prepared by junior team members.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare management accounts and financial reports as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure our clients' compliance with Revenue, CRO, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Cloud Accounting: Support the implementation of cloud accounting systems where applicable.

Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification: Hold a recognized accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CPA).
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Tax Knowledge: Possess excellent knowledge of Irish tax and financial reporting standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Be proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Surf, Sage, QuickBooks).
  • Skillset: Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking: Show the ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
