Job Title: Managing Director

  • This is a leadership role where you will be responsible for managing the business in Ireland. You will be part of a global team and will need to work closely with colleagues across different locations.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a successful business leader in the primary insurance industry, with a sustained record of business development execution. They will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills within a regulated financial services business.
  • They will also be an influential business leader, well-connected and highly regarded within the Irish insurance market with an existing portfolio of strong broker relationships.
  • The ideal candidate will have a multicultural and international mindset, excellent people, change and conflict management skills, and strong emotional intelligence.
  • They will also be solution-oriented and commercial, able to consistently exercise sound judgment and solve complex problems through a combination of analysis, wisdom, judgment, and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Irish market, growing the business to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Further strengthen existing and explore new relationships with global, regional and local brokers to drive business inflow.
  • Proactively engage with all stakeholders internationally and in Munich to ensure that all UW and business best practices are known and applied.
  • Embody the brand of MRS-GM, be the face and voice of business in Ireland.
  • Recruit, lead and motivate staff to execute our Irish business strategy.
Requirements:
  • Extensive, proven experience as a successful business leader in the primary insurance industry.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills within a regulated financial services business.
