Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Clear Strategy. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing ETL solutions at client sites. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing data warehousing and BI projects, guiding clients on best practices around data ingestion and management, and evaluating new technologies to innovate and improve our services.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse, plan, design, test, deploy, and administer Cloud BI and Analytics environments.
  • Develop strong experience with data warehouse ETL, cloud, and on-premise.
  • Evaluate emerging data warehouse design approaches and their potential impact on data warehouse architecture.

You will work closely with technical and business personnel to drive clarity of purpose and goals during release and planning activities. You will also solve issues by coordinating across multifunctional teams and develop data conversion and testing strategies. In addition, you will have experience with the full lifecycle of BI projects, including data quality profiling, metadata management, master data management, cleansing/standardising, and analysing.

Requirements
  • A recognised University Degree or equivalent specialising in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 3 years development experience in ETL, SQL programming, systems integration, and data warehousing environments.
  • Experience in data warehousing, at least 3 years of which are in cloud modern data platforms on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.

You should have demonstrable experience working with relational database technologies, e.g. MS SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, and be comfortable using data visualisation software. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a track record of successfully delivering analytics projects are essential.
