Job Title: Trading Desk Support Specialist

About the Role:
  • As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our trading and investment activities in Europe.
  • You will act as the primary point of contact between our investment team and external brokers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitors and reconciles trade activity and settlement across UK and European markets, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate internal reports on positions, profit/loss, financing, and broker costs, among other key metrics.
  • Supports trade entry, allocations, and confirmation processes, working closely with our front office team and external counterparties.
  • Liaises with our US-based operations team to collaborate on shared workflows and reporting initiatives.
  • Identifies and implements improvements to operational processes and reporting, driving efficiency and effectiveness throughout our organization.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in middle office, settlements, trade support, or related roles.
  • Strong technical skills, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, Excel, VBA, and MS Access.
  • Experience in data automation, reporting tools, and scripting is highly valued; Python is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with the full trade lifecycle and European settlement mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of equities, convertible bonds, and derivatives.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
