Job Description
The Environmental Officer will oversee the operation, performance, and cost management of the on-site Effluent Treatment Plant. They will lead energy and resource efficiency initiatives to achieve water, energy, and carbon reduction targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with EPA licence requirements and manage communications with external regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the operation, performance, and cost management of the on-site Effluent Treatment Plant.
- Lead energy and resource efficiency initiatives to achieve water, energy, and carbon reduction targets.
- Capture and analyze data on effluent, energy, waste, and sustainability metrics to develop key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain and improve ISO50001 (Energy Management) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management) standards on site.
- Conduct site energy and environmental audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate waste management practices in line with company-wide sustainability goals.
- Work closely with the group environmental team to implement sustainability projects and strategies.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service partners.
