Key opportunity for a dedicated leader to oversee daily operations on civil engineering projects in Ireland and the UK.

The role involves managing and supervising teams, coordinating activities, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality, on time, and safely. You will lead and motivate your team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage on-site teams, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specifications.
  • Coordinate daily activities, liaising with project managers, engineers, and planners to keep projects on schedule.
  • Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
  • Enforce health and safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Order and allocate materials, tools, and equipment as needed, and monitor usage.
  • Identify and address any site issues promptly to minimize delays or disruptions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Foreperson on civil engineering projects, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Full driving license.
