  • As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing engineering activities on a specific construction project. Your tasks may vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. You will coordinate technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning, ensuring the company's vision, mission, & values are fulfilled.
  • Responsibilities as a Mechanical Engineer include:
    • Managing Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including setup, management of, and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
    • Managing Site QA in conjunction with the Mechanical Package Manager, including setting up, management, and closing out of file.
    • Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting engineers, and client requirements.

For this position, we require:

  • A 3rd level qualification in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or Senior Trades qualification or equivalent.
  • Significant project engineering experience of 5 years+ with a mechanical contractor.
  • Previous record of delivering small to medium mechanical projects (Commercial, Industrial, Pharma, Data Centre type projects).
  • Capability of walking down mechanical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Experience developing technical submittals, completing technical reviews, and assessments.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures – knowledge of the team, their strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with strong interpersonal skills/communicate with impact.
  • Excellent record-keeping and administration skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence others.
  • Focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers and graduates.

Benefits

You will be paid at a competitive hourly rate between €25 to €35 per hour. This comes out to approximately €50k to €70k when converted to an annual salary. This is open to PAYE and self-employed workers. It's a great time to join our expanding organisation as you will have great exposure to multi-million-euro projects and grow within to progress to more senior roles.
