We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to provide high-quality care to our residents.
About the RoleThis position involves promoting and maintaining the highest attainable standard of nursing care within a facility, ensuring that all staff are performing their duties adequately. The successful candidate will report to and be responsible to the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that all residents receive dignified, private, and respectful care, treating each individual with empathy and compassion.
- Uphold professional standards in accordance with An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct, demonstrating an understanding of relevant documents and their implications for nursing practice.
- Maintain awareness of Servisource policies and ensure adherence by all staff.
- Accurately record information within the home, adhering to legislation and Servisource standards.
- Implement and adhere to agreed policies and procedures for the control, administration, and custody of drugs and medicines.
- Stay informed about HIQA standards and participate in inspection processes as required.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding resident discharge to ensure continuity of care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active registration on the Irish live register (NMBI) with a valid PIN.
- Fluent English language skills (verbal and written), eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with a caring and compassionate approach.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
- Minimum 1 year of relative experience.
