Senior Tax Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. This is a permanent position offering an excellent package.

The Job Description

This is a senior-level role where you will be responsible for VAT issues across a diverse range of clients. Your key responsibilities will include managing the delivery of tax projects, reporting to senior management, and being accountable for the delivery of client liaison on a day-to-day basis.

You will also play a crucial role in assisting the winning of new work by managing existing clients.

Key Deliverables:

  • VAT advisory services to clients
  • Management of tax projects from inception to completion
  • Reporting to senior management on project progress and outcomes
  • Client liaison and relationship management
  • Identification of business opportunities and assistance in winning new work

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills and a willingness to further develop them. You should also have at least 3 years indirect tax experience preferably from within practice. Additionally, you must be AITI qualified or have a similar professional tax or accountancy qualification.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AITI qualification or similar professional tax or accountancy qualification
  • At least 3 years indirect tax experience preferably from within practice
  • Strong technical skills with a willingness to further develop them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and carry out effective reviews
