Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Theatre to lead and manage a team of nursing staff in the Operating Theatre Department. This role involves direct patient care, staff supervision, and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices
  • Co-ordinate efficient theatre utilisation and multi-disciplinary team work
  • Maintain effective communication with clinical support departments and non-clinical areas
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in education and training programs for staff and patients
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ireland
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in a specialty or related area
  • Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the role
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
