Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for validating that customer-facing staff and hired consulting partners deliver services to the highest security standards.

The successful candidate will help validate that our services, applications, and websites are designed and implemented to meet stringent security requirements.

You will build and automate security mechanisms to monitor and inspect activities and deliverables created when working with customers.

This includes analyzing security of applications and services, discovering and addressing security issues, building security automation, and quickly reacting to new threat scenarios.

As a Security Engineer at AWS, you will be expected to develop elegant solutions to complex business problems while applying appropriate technologies and following security engineering best practices.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor more junior engineers and serve as a security thought leader for the organization.

A Day in the Life:

You will build automation to improve operational efficiency and gather new insights from data.

You will identify and prioritize opportunities to automate mechanisms across a diverse landscape of business tools, systems, and architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with AWS products and services
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
