
Reliability Engineer

As a proactive maintenance professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on role involving the upkeep and preventative maintenance of plant equipment and building services.
The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong technical skills, committed to high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all plant equipment and building services, including chillers, compressors, air handling units, heating, water systems, and electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults quickly and effectively.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Support and promote health & safety initiatives, leading by example in line with best practice.
- Accurately record all maintenance activities and report work completed.
- Use permit-to-work systems or similar safety protocols for maintenance activities.
- Monitor spare parts and consumables to support cost-effective inventory management.
- A third-level qualification in Engineering or a recognized Electrical/Mechanical trade certification.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven experience with high-volume manufacturing equipment—experience with injection moulding equipment is an advantage.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC and utility services.
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and ethical in all dealings.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems in a production setting.
