Job Description

Maintenance personnel will perform routine inspections and ensure compliance with company safety protocols. Electrical permits will be reviewed and enforced, ensuring the safe execution of works across multiple sectors.

Mercury is seeking experienced individuals who can demonstrate a history of delivering HV/MV infrastructure projects. Experience managing work and safety across control boundaries is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all works are conducted in accordance with client directives.
  • Operational control of LOTO systems and safe switching (Energisation/Isolations) during commissioning.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures.
  • Assist Senior Authorised Persons to remain compliant in internal audits.
  • Be conversant with Arc flash mitigation including PPE selection, condition and maintenance.
  • Authorise Energisation and Isolation Requests once criteria are met for the nominated voltage range.
Requirements
  • Qualified electrician with National Craft Certificate or equivalent.
  • Understanding of project drawings such as SLDs, Wiring Diagrams, schematics, etc.
  • Interpretation of EN and local code regulations.
  • Experience in inspection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operating control systems and power circuits.
