Job Opportunity in Social Care

Careers in social care are highly rewarding, allowing individuals to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.

Key responsibilities include working with vulnerable adults, supporting individuals towards independent living and community integration.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
  • One year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors.
  • A strong working knowledge of legislation protecting vulnerable adults.
  • A full, clean manual driver's license and own car for this post.
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to social care within disability services.
  • The ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet ongoing needs of individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
