We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled senior hotel operations leader to oversee the day-to-day activities of our hospitality establishment.

About This Role

This leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring seamless departmental coordination, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments work effectively towards common goals.
  • Departmental Coordination: Foster strong relationships with department heads, facilitating open communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
  • Event Management: Take ownership of planning and executing large-scale events, working closely with relevant stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Personnel Management: Work with the general manager to review and optimize personnel rosters, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with business targets.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and collaborate with HR to provide essential skills and development opportunities.
  • Management Meetings: Attend and chair weekly management meetings, promoting effective communication and feedback.
  • Financial Performance: Collaborate with the head chef, restaurant manager, and bar manager to achieve budgeted gross profit margins in food and beverage operations.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyze departmental costs, taking corrective action to mitigate negative deviations.
  • Stock Management: Ensure that managers and supervisors conduct regular stock inventories, investigating discrepancies and implementing necessary actions.
  • Annual Budgeting: Assist department heads in coordinating the annual budgetary process, including billing instructions and credit policy compliance.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among staff, conducting regular audits and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Contribute to marketing efforts, working collaboratively with the sales and marketing department to drive business growth.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Address guest complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
