Sales and Event Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a hotel group as they prepare for their second opening. The Sales and Event Manager is a client-facing role responsible for targeting new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing ones to retain and develop business in the local and international markets.

The role will cover sales for one hotel while working on pre-opening initiatives and planning for its new luxury lifestyle property. Key objectives include:

  • Driving new accounts in the local area for accommodation, events, and food and beverage areas.
  • Ensuring that local corporate rates and RFP account targeting for existing and future years are on track and managed in a timely manner.
  • Managing relevant leisure market agents and setting rates in agreement with company targets, working closely with the Commercial Team.
  • Working with the hotel team to review and analyse monthly reporting to identify non-performing and new accounts.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience in a B2B sales role, preferably within the hotel or tourism-related industries. They must be a highly motivated sales professional who can demonstrate creativity and the ability to think outside the box.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
  • Genuine passion for hospitality sales and marketing.
  • General hotel, tourism, and event management understanding.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a network of industry contacts.
  • Keen attention to detail.
