The primary focus of this role is to grow the Northern Ireland practice from a business development perspective.

You will be in a client-facing role from day one, managing projects, preparing R&D claims, delegating, and building the team.

Working with a variety of team members from junior to senior grades, you will be the main point of contact for your clients, supported by a strong local tax team and your network of experts across the UK and Ireland.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building eminence in the market and looking for opportunities to grow the NI practice.
  • Leading projects, being the main point of contact with a range of senior stakeholders such as financial controllers, finance directors, and chief finance officers.
  • Building an internal network within Deloitte and gaining an understanding of the services the firm can offer to broaden client relationships and differentiate us in the market.
  • Working within a project team to ensure that robust R&D claims are prepared while building deep client relationships.
  • Being the primary point of contact for clients on other areas of grants and incentives, capital allowances, and Patent box queries.
  • Preparing clear reports and summaries for submission to HMRC to explain how our clients' R&D claims have been prepared.
  • Providing technical tax input into marketing and sales activity working closely with our STEM specialist.
