We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Executive to join our Finance & Payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for temporary agency staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Main Responsibilities:
• Assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing the full payroll cycle, from timesheets and gross pay calculations to final payroll runs, reporting, and post-payroll activities.
• Ensure deadlines are met across all stages of the payroll process for weekly, fortnightly and monthly runs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Recruitment, Services & Operations, and HR) to ensure all data inputs and approvals are received on time and are accurate.
• Identify potential risks or bottlenecks in the payroll process and flag them to the Payroll Manager with proposed solutions.
• Support business continuity and act as deputy in managing payroll processing in the Payroll Manager's absence.
Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure payroll is compliant with Revenue requirements.
• Support audits (internal and external) and provide necessary documentation.
Systems and Data Management:
• Assist the Payroll Manager in the maintenance and development of payroll software and systems.
• Collaborate with IT or third-party vendors to resolve system issues.
Team Support:
• Support and mentor junior payroll administrators.
• Act as first point of escalation for payroll queries.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist the Payroll Manager with project work (e.g., system upgrades, implementing new legislation changes, increment & payscale changes).
