Senior Automation Specialist

The Senior Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in driving automation excellence, overseeing the maintenance, introduction, and troubleshooting of automated equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of two new production lines.
- Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform repairs on automation equipment.
- Regularly calibrate equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Analyze production processes and identify automation opportunities to drive efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external clients to deliver automation solutions.
- Manage supply chain issues related to automation equipment and spare parts.
- Develop and write requirements for quality assurance and machine operation.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation systems aligned with business needs.
This role requires an expert automation professional who excels in fast-paced environments and provides both technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years' experience in automation engineering, preferably in high-volume manufacturing sectors including brewing, distilling, food, and beverage.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and control systems.
- Proficiency with CAD software and automation design tools.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining complex automated systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured analytical approach.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing automation projects from concept through to implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams.
