Role/Department

The Azure Dev Sec Ops Engineer will be part of Northern Trust's Global Threat Technology team, focusing on automating workflows and managing cloud-based resources while integrating security into DevOps pipelines. This critical role will also contribute to executing Northern Trust's cloud security strategy as part of a multicultural team.

This position requires an emphasis on automating workflows and managing cloud-based resources with a focus on integrating security into DevOps pipelines. The engineer will play a crucial role in executing Northern Trust's cloud security strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement, manage, and optimize infrastructure automation using Terraform for cloud environments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to manage cloud resources, security controls, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and management of infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security policies and best practices into CI/CD workflows.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, Security, or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, CompTIA Security+).
  • Expertise in Azure/AWS services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.
  • Experience in Dev Sec Ops, cloud automation, and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates.
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based infrastructure deployments.
  • Experience using Git and other version control systems.
