Principal Software Engineer – Quantum Computing

We are currently seeking a highly motivated scientist to support the development of software tools for quantum computing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Programming Tools: Design, develop, and maintain programming tools that interact with quantum hardware.
  • Enable Support for Emerging Quantum Hardware: Enable support for emerging quantum hardware and ensure robust integration with our infrastructure.
  • Connect Compiler Components: Connect internal compiler components with user-facing services and interfaces.
  • Solve Scientific and Technical Problems: Solve scientific and technical problems in support of product development.
  • Maintain Proper Documentation: Maintain proper documentation of work and present results internally and externally.

The ideal candidate has expertise in quantum computing, preferably with knowledge of compilers, system programming or high-performance computing.

Responsibilities include collaborating with other scientists and engineers to lay the foundation for future products and influencing software architecture for our development tools.

Key Requirements:

  • Quantum Computing Expertise: Strong understanding of quantum computing principles and concepts.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • System Programming: Knowledge of system programming and ability to write efficient code.
  • High-Performance Computing: Familiarity with high-performance computing techniques and architectures.
